Board of Directors
The Board of Directors is the policy making body of the Association and meets every year at IAPH World Ports Conference in odd-numbered years and the Mid-term Conference/Board Meeting in even-numbered years to consider policy-related matters of the Association. The Board is responsible for general supervision over the Executive Committee and have the power to determine the venue of IAPH biennial conference, to establish internal and technical committees, to propose amendments to the IAPH Constitution or the By-Laws, etc.
The Board comprises the President as its ex officio Chairman, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and Conference Vice Presidents, the Immediate Past President as its ex officio members, and Directors or Alternate Directors elected nationally from member countries represented in the Association, as follows.
One Director can be elected by any country represented by not more than ten Regular Members, two directors from each country represented by more than ten and not more than twenty Regular Members, three Directors from each country represented by more than twenty Regular Members, and one Director from each country represented only by one or more Associate Members.
