Established in 1899, Port of Dalian is one of the largest international trading ports of North China. With deep water and broad space, it is a fine natural port free of ice and silt, and is easily accessible by railways and highways linking the port with its hinterland. 85% of the foreign trade cargoes of Northeast China are handled at Port of Dalian. Facing the challenges and opportunities of the new century, Port of Dalian puts forward its new strategy as building a large modern comprehensive international port with multi-functions. Right now, it is intensively constructing some new facilities including the Dayao Bay New Port 2nd Phase Project, a 300,000 dwt Crude Oil Terminal and a 250,000 dwt Mineral Ore Terminal.
