Profile

The Port Authority of Douala (P.A.D.) is a public company with judicial status and having a financial autonomy. It was created by degree No. 99/130 of June 15th 1999 in application of law 98/021/98 which defines the port reform in process. It is suited in the heart of the gulf of Guinea at 04 03.5 North of the Latitude and 09 41.8 East of the latitude and linked to the sea by an access channel of about 50 km long permanently dredged at –7m (-9m). With the vision of “Pole of reference at the heart of the gulf of Guinea”, the P.A.D. has as missions: the reception of ships, provision of multimodal logics and, the promotion of port activities. The Port Authority of Douala also has a culture of results based on the following values: efficiency, professional ethics, competitiveness, solidarity, commitment, customer care, re-assurance and general interest.
