Port of Cotonou has a regional vocation. It is the nearest opening to the sea, the quickest access and the less uneven access to serve the East of countries without any littoral such as Burkina Faso, Mali and Chad. It is the first transiting port of the Republic of Niger. It is also near Nigeria. The capacity of the port which has 11 berthing stations and we have also some specialized berthing stations for containers, oil and for roll-on/roll off vessels.
